McAfee offers a standalone removal tool that is used to remove
specific threats as well as one that is released to deal with medium
to high-risk threats. The Stinger is not a scanner and is typically
used by administrators, technicians, and users on systems that have
already been verified as being infected. Typically, the McAfee

spyware or virus is released. It uses components of installed McAfee
